Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1

The WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 1 course is an 8 hour program, including coffee and lunch breaks. In order to be successful, candidates must demonstrate practical skill competency, achieve a minimum of 70% on a multiple choice exam and attend the full course. On successful completion of the course, participants receive a 3-year certification.

Price: $95/per person

You must be at least 16 years old to take this training.

Course Prerequisites

Must be at least 16 years of age and be physically able to perform all of the First Aid tasks required to complete the learning tasks. Personal identification is required prior to Occupational First Aid Attendant certification. No experience is necessary.

•One person CPR
•Minor injuries which require medical aid
•Management of soft tissue injuries

Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 2

The WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level Two course is a 36 hour (1 week) program designed for the first aid attendant who is less than 20 minutes away from advanced medical care. Initial certification requires full participation and course attendance, as well as satisfactory results in both a written and practical exam. Upon successful completion the participant will receive certification that is valid for 3 years.

There is no pre-requisite for this course. You DO NOT have to take Level 1 before taking OFA Level 2. You must be at least 16 years old to take this training.

We also offer on-site training for employers with a minimum of 8 participants.

Price: $650/per person

Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3

Occupational First Aid Level 3 is a 70 hour (2 week) program designed to further first aid training and knowledge for first aid attendants located more than 20 minutes away from medical aid. Students will learn advanced lifesaving techniques and will learn how to prepare a patient for transport to medical aid (including helicopter transport).

Students do not have to take OFA Level 1 or OFA Level 2 to participate in this course.

All students must be at least 16 years old and be able to physically perform first aid.

Price: $750.00/per person
